Most of us know Dr. Usamah as the university’s esteemed medical expert and the go to guy when we need to submit medical documents of alleged or actual diseases that stood between us and attending our exams.
Today however, we seeked Dr. Usamah to help us make sense of a piece of paper on a door in the B5 building ground floor which says “Dental Clinic” !
“When will the clinic be available to students?”
“Well, I estimate that it will open its doors in about 3-4 weeks from now and it will be available for students, doctors, TA’s and all on-campus staff.”
“Will this clinic be free of charge?”
“I’m afraid not; as the instruments we use in the clinic are highly expensive. However there will be a fair discount to each of the students, faculty and staff, where each of these categories will receive a different discount”
“Dr. Usamah, does this new edition to campus mean we should expect a dentistry faculty to open up soon in the GUC?”
“No, this is just a service that we offer to the people of GUC; in order to save them time, effort and provide them with a better service for a more convenient price.”
“How many doctors does the clinic accommodate?”
“Well, the clinic has more than one doctor, each specialized in a particular field of dentistry. There will be a clinic schedule to organize time between the different specialties.”
“Is there anything more you can tell us about the clinic?”
“Just that the Clinic is currently ready but undergoing an experimental stage to make sure that everything is working smoothly and that no problems arise concerning the tools and their setting..”
Perhaps dentists should watch out cause this new dentistry clinic could quite possibly take the 10,000+ people on campus off the market.
If this works out the way it should, maybe we’ll start scheduling our dentist appointments in between tutorials.
Talk about time optimization!
